Hoop Heads Academy operates a youth basketball league on Maui that currently serves over 200 children, providing them with a platform to develop their skills and passion for the game. In addition to the league, the academy also offers various club basketball opportunities specifically designed for middle and high school students, enabling them to enhance their competitive edge, foster teamwork and participate in leagues, tournaments and events throughout the year.

Hoop Heads Academy provides a high-quality, player-focused approach to youth basketball. Through a combination of hands-on coaching, personalized training, and a variety of engaging drills, we strive to develop young athletes who are not only skilled players but also well-rounded individuals. Members can count on the organization to create an environment where players can thrive, learning important life lessons through basketball.

Hoop Heads Academy, Inc. was founded by Maiki Tihada, owner and basketball trainer of Heads UP Basketball. Following the success of her players, Maiki has the desire to provide further opportunities for her players by exposing them to competitive play to showcase their skills at a national level. She is a devoted and experienced basketball enthusiast with a passion to serve her basketball community.
